Heirloom Rework Inherited pieces and forgotten jewelry often hold the most potential. Katie assesses what you have — the quality of the stones, the value of the gold, the story behind the piece — and shows you how it can become something you actually wear. 03 Your Hour with Katie Katie personally reviews every piece with you. You'll leave with a clear picture of what's worth reworking, how to style what you have, and a custom design direction if you're ready to move forward.

In-Person — Costa Mesa Atelier
  • 1Book your session and complete the intake form below.
  • 2Gather your jewelry box. Bring everything — no need to pre-edit. The more we can look at, the better.
  • 3Come to us at 234 E 17th St #203, Costa Mesa, CA 92627. We'll confirm arrival details by email.
  • 4Your hour with Katie begins. Leave with a clear direction and a plan that's yours.
Virtual — Ship to Us
  • 1Book your session and fill out the intake form. Select Virtual as your preference.
  • 2Once your appointment is confirmed, ship us your pieces. You can handle shipping yourself, or we can generate a label for you. see shipping details ›
  • 3Drop off at any carrier location. We'll confirm receipt and schedule your video session once your package arrives.
  • 4After your session, we return everything fully insured and tracked, within 2 business days.
How to Pack & Ship Your Pieces
  • 1Photograph every piece before you pack it. This helps us confirm condition on both ends.
  • 2Use a rigid box with padding on all sides. Soft envelopes and padded mailers are not secure enough for fine jewelry.
  • 3Never ship loose stones without a secure, padded container. Wrap rings and chains individually so pieces cannot shift or tangle in transit.
  • 4Include your name and confirmation number inside the box.
  • 5For high-value pieces, note the approximate value on your intake form so we can confirm proper insurance coverage.
  • 6Double box all valuables. Place the piece in its own box, such as a ring box, then box that inside another shipping box.
  • 7Pack and seal your box at home rather than at the shipping counter.
  • 8Ask for a receipt when you drop off your package and hold onto it until we confirm your pieces have arrived.
Choose How You Ship Shipping is billed separately from your $250 session fee, at actual carrier cost based on your package's weight, dimensions, and insured value.
  • 1Ship it yourself. Use the carrier of your choice and send your tracking number to our team. We recommend a trackable, insured service for anything of meaningful value.
  • 2Let us generate the label. We'll create an insured, trackable label and email it to you. The carrier cost is charged to you before the label is sent.
A note on cost Shipping cost varies by package and is calculated at the time your label is created, or confirmed with you if you choose to ship on your own. We will always confirm the cost before anything is sent.
